Hello, my name is Cori Nichols.
It's not your job to know how to be photogenic, it's mine.
I am extremely grateful for being able to do something every day that I can’t begin to imagine a day without. I have loved photography since I was a little girl and through years of dedication and education, I have cultivated my skills as a photographer and business owner. Then, almost two years ago, in the blink of an eye, I unexpectedly lost my father and a friend, which brought me to a halting realization… this passion and talent I have been given is my gift to others.
Things to know about my business:
Photography is my full-time job. This typically means a faster delivery time, greater availability for sessions and you will continue to get my attention after your session.
I know people are uncomfortable in front of the camera – it’s my job to help you feel relaxed, “young and thin”, and happy with the way you look in front of the camera.
My ideal client is somebody who loves using their portraits as their home or office décor – your family is your most priceless piece of art!
I’m not the right photographer for everybody. But, for those who do become my clients, I make sure I understand what they want and deliver it. If I don’t do my job, I don’t expect clients to make a purchase. That’s how I hold myself accountable.
Things to know about me:
I grew up in Northern California and moved to SoCal to earn a BA in Law at UC Santa Barbara. This is where I met my future husband!
I have lived in San Rafael, Petaluma, Novato, Larkspur, Pacifica, South San Francisco, San Mateo, Los Angeles, Temecula and finally settled in San Diego to raise a family.
I have two sons whom I love to the moon and back.
We have two rescue pets, Jax (unknown canine breed) and Gia (tabby mix).
I am a football mom and a Scout mom.
I founded and participate in a monthly Book Club, volunteer bi-monthly at Ladle Ministry serving our city’s homeless and am a Board member for multiple organizations.
I would divulge what I do in my spare time, except I really don’t have any.
Cori Nichols is the cover and event photographer for Fairbanks Living Magazine and has been featured in other San Diego publications.
